Common phrases of the believer

These are the phrases a Muslim says throughout the day - starting with Bismillah, praising with Alhamdulillah, glorifying with SubhanAllah, and affirming faith with the kalimah. Saying them keeps the heart connected to Allah and earns reward with every utterance.

Say them with the heart

These words carry the greatest meanings; say them with presence and understanding, not only on the tongue. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: 'Two phrases are light on the tongue, heavy on the scale, and beloved to the Most Merciful: SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi, SubhanAllahil-Azim' (Sahih al-Bukhari 6406).

Small phrases, great weight

These short phrases are the connective tissue of Muslim speech - bismillah before beginning, alhamdulillah at good news, insha'Allah over plans, subhanallah at wonder, jazakallahu khayran in thanks. Each is a sentence of theology compressed into a breath: saying masha'Allah attributes the good you see to its true Source; saying insha'Allah admits the future is not yours. Used sincerely, they keep remembrance woven through an ordinary day without a single extra minute set aside - which is precisely their genius. And because they are said aloud among people, they teach children and newcomers the vocabulary of faith more effectively than any lesson.

Using this tool

Each phrase is displayed in fully vocalized Arabic - every vowel mark in place, which matters when you are learning to read or want to write it correctly - together with its transliteration and meaning. One tap copies the Arabic for a message, a design, or study notes; you can also download a phrase as a clean transparent image, ready to drop into a card, a slide, or a social post without fighting fonts. The gallery is deliberately curated rather than exhaustive: the phrases a Muslim actually says every day, spelled the way they should be spelled. Everything runs on your device.
